Bias Studies
Written by on May 13, 2008 – 8:44 pm -Next time you hear about a new study conducted that proved this or that, you should be a little skeptic of the results. Ask yourself some questions; who conducted the study, and for what purpose? Did they have a motive, or any instilled bias? Where was it conducted and what factors might there be to influence it? These questions might be difficult to obtain an answer to, but you should always take each study with a grain of salt. Many studies are corporate funded; especially nutritious studies that claim their product is actually good for your health; or that cigarettes actually does not have any ’strong evidence’ that it causes lung cancer. Sure, it may be good for you in one way, but doesn’t mean it is overall good. There may be other aspects of it that does much more damage than good.
