DVD-Rom Brands
Written by on May 28, 2008 – 4:53 pm -Often times blank DVD-Roms go on sale, to which they were previously much more. If you are buying them for making DVD movies, or to store data, you should watch out for the brand you buy. Some are better than others, while some you can’t help but get a bad batch. Also, some from the same make will be manufactured in different places. Look for ones ‘made in Japan’ for the higher quality. Brands like Sony or Maxwell are good, while Memorex is mediocre. There are some you have to look for though. If the price is too good to be true, perhaps you should stay clear from it.

Build Your Own PC!
Written by on May 25, 2008 – 2:06 am -When thinking of getting a new computer, why not try building your own? Many people steer clear of building their own computer and go for the already assembled kind. But it is not that hard. Why not try to build a PC next time instead? It could be made easy. As a first timer, try Easy As My PC Kits that include everything you would need. Building your own computer helps you learn exactly what is a computer made of, where all of the parts go, and you could know exactly what you have in your own computer, whether it be the video card brand, the motherboard, etc. Things usually not including in the computer description. It’s a valuable experience.

HP’s 2133
Written by on May 25, 2008 – 2:06 am -When HP was announcing it was introducing its own UMPC, I was interested in that a big well known company like HP will be bringing to the competition. When the 2133 came out, it looked nice - well I was not a fan of the shape, but I liked the idea of aluminum casing. TheĀ price was a little steeper than the others. And what is with UMPC’s bringing linux as an option of operating systems? I guess after the success of the EEE despite it having linux gave other companies confidence that it could do well offering linux themselves…

Screen Protectors Are A Must!
Written by on May 22, 2008 – 7:56 pm -A friend has recently shown me his iphone, and the first thing I noticed where smudges. One of the first things I get when I get new electronics is protection. For touch screens, it is a must to have some form of screen protector on it. I suggest buying some
iphone screen protectors so it keeps your screen in tip top shape. Just from normal wear and tear, you are bound to get scratches on the surface - most noticeably (and annoyingly) on the screen. The invisibleSHIELD is a nice screen protector that fit perfectly for your iphone. It’s only 2mm thick, and quite clear. Despite its thin depth, it is tough against scratches, and is more than enough to protect your screen from your everyday wear.
