All About C3 Corvette Sports Cars

It is known as the Mako Shark II, which was designed by Larry Shinoda (a pretty known automative designer who has done work on the Ford Mustang as well). The Chevrolet Corvette C3 was first introduced in 1968 and has been produced until 1982. The C3 model has been known to have a distinct non conventional design. The style of the C3 corvette has changed since it was first produced. 1973 was when Chevrolet decided to replace the front chrome bumpers with a urethane-compound bumer (of 5 mph). 1973 was the last year when the Corvettes came out with chrome bumpers. The convertible also ended in 1975. One of the most popular colors is the yellow C3 corvette. The engines have also changed since the first production of the C3 Chevrolet Corvette. At the beginning the power of the corvette was only a net power of 275 hp (205 kW), later on it was improved. In 1978, there were many changes on the engine power from 220 hp (164 kW) to 185 hp (138 kW) . Finally, as changes were made, the corvette reached a net power of 180 hp (134 kW) in 1980. With many design changes the sales for the Corvettes reached its peak during the year of 1975.
